Ya know you'd think with the pikmin actually evolving throughout the series, like getting different varieties and the onion combining into one instead of a bunch of separate ones, they'd have developed enough to realize certain creatures are better to have around than not. Be neat if in the next game you could befriend one of these dudes for your campsite or something.

Something similar happened to me once. We found a little guy on one of our walks and even though he could barely move he jumped right onto one of our shoes and looked up at us. Couldn't really leave him at that point.

He only lasted a week after that, but he was fed and loved and comfortable. I think that's all any creature can hope for, before they go.
