Well I definitely agree that it's cool. The violin is a really nice touch!

Jxudo responds:

Thanks, glad you enjoyed ;)

Solid fade in, and a sweet beat once it gets going. Can definitely picture a town or hub area in my head when I hear this.

ErikSwahn responds:

Glad to hear. I was hoping the music would remind you of something like that.

Sweet, but short.

DjJoVita responds:

Thank you ❤️ I hope, B3 will make full version with me

Quuuality! First half got me all nostalgic, sorta reminded me of the soundtrack for the Thrillville minigames. Then the second portion dropped and I was just ready to dance! Nice!

etK responds:

Thanks a lot!! I'm really glad you like it! :D

Takes a minute for the beat to really get going but boy it does when it does. Great piece, especially as a character's theme song. The sorta distorted chorial voices at the end are a bit wacky but honestly I love em.

lonce520 responds:

yah you are right :3
i change that end :3

Lovely piece really. Your friend might've not been joking when he said that, though. Music, all artforms really, are great outlets, especially for negative emotions.

For what it's worth I do hope your situation improves.

Everratic responds:

Thank you for the review and well wish! Indeed, music is a great emotional outlet.

In terms of raw quality I'd give this a 4 out of 5, but... I dunno man. Something about it just vibes with me. Hits the right frequency for me to feel good and bop along to the beat. The only specific criticism I can THINK to give is either maybe use a bit more autotuned for the vocals in the beginning OR sing with just a hair more enthusiasm as to feel a bit more chill and a bit less dead. Even then I can't say I'm sure. All in all good job!

ZaneLittle responds:

I appreciate that!

It could use some work, yeah, specially around the midpoint onwards, but it's not BAD. Reminds me of some classic arcade and SNES games. Think you got some real potential here champ.

AxelerrixxGD responds:

Thx 4 feedback.

All in all you managed to create something subtle yet elegant, nice. It's a game over song, thus it shouldn't be loud, but it shouldn't be dull and droning either if you expect people to listen to it.

That being said, this might work better as music during a cutscene/story/sad bit? I get since it doubles it's more like a minute and a half but generally people don't hang around for more than a few seconds when they get killed in a game. Half the time they just button mash back to the load or ragequit.

Ruedefaux responds:

yeah, i understand what youre saying.

to me i can see it being used for both a game over screen and like a cutscene of some sort that would happen later. lord knows i only hear the first three seconds of a game over song when i die LOL, so i definitely understand what you mean.

i kind of had the game over theme from the old Kirby and the Crystal Shards game in mind, as that song tends to go on longer than you'd think, and as you said, most people probably didn't get to really hear it cuz no one stuck around long enough to.

Gives me Stranger Things vibes. Good spook.

DogeGamer16 responds:

That is what I am going for thank you! :)
