"Oh oni of the mountain! How might we appease you?"
"Yeah can you get me one of those shark things from IKEA?"
"Uh...?"
"Maybe some cinnamon buns while you're at it?"

Oh my god, this speaks to my heart.
The dog has cozy grandpa vibes, but I'm wracking my mind to figure out if he and his catch are just giant or if the lil buddy on the hook is like, a guppy mermaid.
The mermaid is meant to be tiny! :]
Siiiiick.
The fact the official voice-actor does so much fan-work really does make the character that much more likeable.
Damn that actually works really well, visually.
So a lot of people think the real-life "Beast of Gevaudan" might've actually been a hyena. Things eat bones but back during the time-period where the attacks happened nobody in France would've really seen one before. The real conspiracy-type theories posit someone actually intentionally released one too look like some big damn hero when he killed it.
I personally like to think that it was a hyena, if only because that's more interesting than the perhaps more likely explanation of embellished attacks by wild dogs. I do think that there were more than one of whatever it was, considering how many times it was killed!
Honestly the glasses didn't look half-bad.
Damn this goes hard.
The writing here is really good. Love Beel's characterization. Still wondering how she got all these books and things not made of shadow like needles and plates, though.
Still dunno why Midnight Crew Jack was also trying to kill the god-kids when they were fighting this guy. Like he'd never met them at that point, was already getting his ass kicked by a doppleganger, and said to himself "oh let me deal with even MORE problems!"
