The shading is pretty great but I think color contrast is a bit of an issue here.
-Between the eyes and the shoulder area the background sorta blends with the character a bit.
-Maybe make the tears more transparent? It's clear it's fluid but it looks more like blood than water.

How did you do the background? Slap a filter over a still image shot of a street?
A clip studio paint asset I cropped about and fitted better. Though for some others I've applied high contrast filters over photos. Great for simple backgrounds.
Am I seeing some original powerpuff girls inspiration?
probably haha! i used to watch that show all the time so it's definitely rubbed off on me when it comes to drawing certain characters lol

Really good, but the action bar being animated while the petals sort of just hang there seems a bit off.
That's a fair criticism, I wanted to finish it quick and have it loop, so animating the petals wasn't a a priority. I'm glad you like it though!
Interesting design you've got going here. Notice one of the tags is, "Lapis". Would this happen to be derivative of Steven Universe? The somewhat shattered aesthetic and water motif would make sense. Great job, regardless. Only criticism is that the white border works well against the droplets but not so much against the sort of space-like background of the piece.
Thanks for the review! It's actually a character from Houseki no Kuni/Land of the Lustrous, and each part of the piece has something to do with their.... development. It's hard to explain and very spoilery. Check it out! It won an award for best CG and has a pretty unique plot.
